Stoopid Troops

In case you completely missed it (I did at first), John Kerry decided to take a swipe at the president while speaking to a bunch of college students while campaigning for the Democratic candidate for California’s governor. (Not sure why, but everyone seems to be running against Bush in all these local races. You’d think that Bush was running for Senate in Virginia by the ads that are running!)

Anyway, what he said was this:

“You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

And he says that he forgot to say “like President Bush” at the end. Um…whatever.

Oh, and he refuses to apologize for what came out of his mouth (which pretty much calls our troops dummies, even if it wasn’t what he intended). The Anchoress has a really good round-up of the kerfuffle (as always).
