Obama: Doesn’t Care About Oil Prices, Jobs, or Prosecuting Terrorists

While he keeps the White House heat up – hey, he doesn’t have to pay the bills on that stuff anyway – President Obama has poised us for higher prices on oil and gas, as well as a loss of jobs in that field.  Creating jobs doesn’t mean those kinds of jobs, you know.  And who cares if we aren’t more independent in our energy needs?  Or if the average person is going to have to pay higher rates for the fossil fuels that we need in our modern lives?

Republicans and the oil industry have argued that the United States should open more domestic areas if it wants to create jobs and reduce its reliance on foreign oil.

“This action will come as a disappointment to communities that were counting on these energy leases to generate high-wage jobs in these difficult economic times,” Rep. Doc Hastings, R-Wash., said in a statement.

Also, it turns out that the President just might be ready to drop charges on terrorists being tried in military tribunals.  How on earth is he going to explain that to the families of those killed on the USS Cole and in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001?  How will he explain his way out of wanting to drop charges against the masterminds of terrorist attacks that killed thousands?

Maybe Travel Man can add these people to the list of those disappointed in President Obama.
